I decided to change my rating system a little and there’s only my total rating.
Now You See Me (2013)
Storyline: FBI agent Dylan Rhodes and Interpol detective Alma Dray follow a group of illusionist who rob banks and give the money to the audience through America.
Actors: Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson
My review: All in all, it reminded me of Inception a little… Except that it got LOADS of hate. Honestly, I don’t know why. Okay, it wasn’t perfect, there were a confusing holes in the plot and the ending was not that good. But other than that I thought it was pretty awesome! Of course, the actors were pretty cool. Of course, the cast was pretty amazing. I admit I don’t know many actors but here I knew quite a few. But just love Morgan Freeman, I haven’t seen him in many films, but I like his… presence. Anyway, every time I thought I knew what was going to happen next, I was wrong. I really liked that.
I saw the film twice and the second time I liked the ending even less. (Spoiler) It wasn’t clear to me why Rhodes was so angry with Bradly and I actually didn’t get thing with The Eye at all. Confusing. I had to go visit Wikipedia after finishing 😉
The characters were all more or less likeable, of the four horsemen I liked Henley best but thought what was his name? the mental guy was the funniest.
So, to sum it up, I liked the film a lot but it wasn’t perfect (-> ending).
Something I love about this film: simply all the magic tricks. I’m a person who thinks it’s kind of scary but cool nonetheless. Although the mental things are just plain creepy…
My rating: 8.5/10
